WE'RE HOME....

Stop and take the time to smell the roses,
Stop and take the time to fill your noses,
Stop as you stroll through life, ("pitter patter, pitter patter")

-Stop And Take The Time To Smell The Roses, Ringo Starr

JOE WAS DISCHARGED from the hospital early this morning, although still very sore but he's so relieved to be home. The cats were making extra little noises to let him know that they're so happy to see him. Or it could be that they just missed their daily treats from daddy.

And here I am...although a little bit tired from driving back and forth to the hospital just couldn't let this beautiful Sunday go by without taking the time to smell the flowers...literally.

- moss rose 'portulaca', annual

- weed from the yard

With the hustle and bustle of everyday activities, it's easy to become overwhelmed, stressed out and anxious. My friends, take time to relax, and learn how to stop and smell the roses. Only then can you recharge your batteries and appreciate what life has to offer.

Hugs from Joe and me for all your support and sweet comments. We couldn't thank you enough...

What delightful news to know you are home again and full of smiles. Lovely flowers! As the heat has subsided, I am off to go smell some of my delightful roses and ooh and aah over all the gorgeous Rose of Sharon that have burst forth in this heat. Life is sweeter when we stop and enjoy it. Thanks for the uplifting post. My prayers continue without ceasing. XO to both of you! : )

Your flower photos are beautiful, Connie. And I especially liked the little arrangement. You are so clever. I'm glad he is home and on the way to recovery. (I haven't heard from Alex. I think her surgery was this morning. I'm wondering how she's doing...)

Glad to know you and Joe are back home. There's no other place to make a quick recovery than in your own home...and bed.

Those are beautiful flowers you have. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Thank you for your sweet comments about my photos! So glad to hear that it was just Joe's appendix and not anything worse than that, and that he's on the recovery road! Your flower photos are absolutely lovely!

Hi Connie, I am so glad Joe is home and doing well. The flowers are so beautiful and so are your muffins...they look especially yummy. Thanks for stopping by. I keep my magazines in those magazine holders but they are all full and my stack is getting high again. I think it's hopeless!!

I admire your flowers specially the orange one, is that a Rose of Sharon?
