HELLO, AUTUMN!

Autumn's Hidden Beauty, Rt. 9, NH Photographer: Cynthia Sorel
EVERY SEASON IS great. Yet, specific ones tend to relate to certain people. It's no secret that I love autumn. It's one of my favorite seasons for so many reasons. Cool breezes. Chilly nights. Extraordinary display of color. Soft woolly sweaters. Apple cider. Pumpkins and jack-o'lanterns. Scarecrows perched on porches. Needlework projects. Halloween. Thanksgiving. And, of course, there's December - my favorite holiday of all times...which the first 20 days is still part of autumn. WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT AUTUMN?

Play along and tell me what is your favorite season and why? I'll put Autumn first in my ranking, then Spring, then Summer and my least favorite is Winter - I love the first snow of the season but after that it is just plain BLAH and BRRRRR, especially, if you live in New England.

Fun poll Connie! It will be fun to see the results.

I voted for autumn, and like you, winter is definitely my least favorite.

Have a great weekend!

My Dear Connie,
I live in Florida, so I have to said summer.
I hope you are keeping your spirit high and your BF is having more good days than bad.
Blessings, Virginia

May you find serenity and tranquility in a world you may not always understand. May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism. Always know that there are those whose love and understanding will always be there, even when you feel most alone. May you discover enough goodness in others to believe in a world of peace. May a kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them. Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.

I enjoyed this post, Connie. Although I love Christmastime, as far as the weather, I love Autumn! :)

I hesitated before I chose spring. I love fall. But we don't have much of a fall season. So I decided that with blooms bursting forth, I would have to choose spring.

Hi Connie, cool post! I know autumn is my absolute favorite and then it's a toss up between winter and summer. I just love the snow and lucky us it pretty much covers the ground here in NY all winter long. And then there's summer and I'm just not fond of heat. I do anything to get out of the heat and I'm just so thankful we don't have such hot blistering summers up here.

But when it comes to holidays... Christmas is my all time favorite!

I've been thinking about you and Joe and I'm keeping you both ever in my prayers.

Blessings - Debbie

Oh, I love fall! Even though where I live now it doesn't make much of a difference, I always remember living in the Midwest as a kid, and watching the leaves color.

I love something about every season, but I would prefer that some seasons leave a bit sooner than they are wont to do. Our summer has overstayed it's welcome for my liking this year. I am ready for a crispening of the days and a chilling of the nights. Autumn is #1 with spring a close second. Winter and summer delight me . . . for a time. : )

Hello Connie,
I saw a comment that you left on Virginia's blog and was drawn to you. I have enjoyed reading several of your posts and love your beautiful pictures. I hope that your Joe will recover soon.

I love fall....but it is slow coming to us in S. CA. We are still in the high 90s and baking. I wish that we could take a New England cruise and see your beautiful trees as they change colors.

I'd love to have you drop by my blog and say hello. We may live on opposite sides of the USA but I feel that we think a lot alike.
Have a good Sunday. Grammy Lura

I voted spring. I love autumn, but I dread the coming of winter at the end of it.

Have a good one.

I say autumn right now, because we're just finishing summer, which is very hot and humid here in Alabama. After the winter, I love spring. Spring and autumn are my favorites, and I guess summer is my least favorite. Winters are cold but not harsh here.
